It's time! Applications are being accepted NOW for the 2017 Writer in Residence.
Here's the link to the High Plains Library District.
If you've read any of my blogs, you know that this program has changed my life. That's not hyperbole! A year ago, many facets of my life were entirely different.
I use my free time very differently than I used to. I squeeze in writing and editing in tiny pieces; whereas before becoming the Writer in Residence, I'd read other authors' writing any chance I could get! I wouldn't even consider writing or editing without a large chunk of time ahead of me.
Now, I am always thinking of my characters and the "what's next?" of my book, my series, my life! I'm planning vacations around writing research! I'm loving every minute of it.
I don't know what the end result of being the Writer in Residence will be, but I do know that if YOU meet the qualifications, you should give it a try! It's worth the time and effort to complete the application. If you have questions, I'm here for you. Send me an email, and I'll help you all I can.
Applications are due March 10. Don't procrastinate!
In my writing world, my second book, High Plains Heroes: Laughing Wolf, is written, revised, beta read, and is waiting for me to revise again. I'm looking forward to polishing it up over the upcoming long weekend. I'm hoping that my next blog is about the release date of High Plains Heroes: Josiah. Fingers crossed!
