I love summer! Just like my students, summer vacation makes my heart sing.
However, there's something to be said for the routines that accompany returning to school. My students have been back in the classroom for two weeks. Learning is occurring!
For me, that also means I'm back into the routine of carefully structuring my time. That's a good thing! I'm back in Estes Park, sitting on my deck, thinking about writing. That's also a good thing!
Here's an update: Josiah seems to be a hit with both young and adult audiences. To my surprise, female readers enjoy the book as much as male readers. (If you've read Josiah, I'm still begging for reviews on Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Goodreads!)
Laughing Wolf is coming soon! The publisher is finalizing the cover art and last edits. I'm excited to hold the final product in my hands. Believe me, I'll let you know as soon as that occurs!
Bethy is moving along very nicely. I've completed the first round of revisions, and the manuscript is currently being read by loyal friends and writing critique mates. More on her story as it crosses the finish line. But, I do want to shout "THANK YOU" to a number of women who have become very, very important to the Bethy production: Cathy Hurst, Alice Longaker, Marilyn Bay Drake, Shelley Welch, and Shirley Prom. They are each unique in their talents and support, and I appreciate them tremendously!
Happy fall...even if it's only August!
